An unexpected Twinsday

I hadn't expected to see the family today but Manda, Andrew and the boys came back from their weekend visit earlier than they'd expected, so we all got together after all.  The temperature was then 92 degrees and it stayed that way for the rest of the day.  When I arrived I found that Lex had brought out the little blow-up pool for the boys and they were having a great time scooping the water up and throwing it out.  The younger generation took up a bit of shade in the back garden near the pool, and that's what you see in the blip.

Once we came inside, Max spent a long time at the dollhouse, moving pieces of furniture carefully inside and outside of the house.  He was totally engrossed.  Sam, on the other hand, found it hard to settle to something, although he spent some time with the trucks.  The last tender moment speaks for itself (that's Sam with his mom.)

Home now and the temperature has finally dropped.  It should be a bit cooler tomorrow.  Doug is looking into getting another portable AC for my workroom, which is about the same size as the bedroom.  With an AC in there, I will have some place cool to spend time, where there are actually things to do.
