Glasses fixed

I had the usual Monday morning work to do while hubby gave my 93-year-old uncle a lesson on how to use his iPhone.  Progress is being made.

It’s been a lovely sunny day, as can be seen in the blip, which is of the bandstand in the Domain.  It hasn’t been overly warm, but quite a contrast to yesterday.

I received a call from the Optometry Clinic to say that they were unable to access a new frame for my normal glasses as that model is now discontinued, and would I like to come in to choose a new frame. So we duly went in this afternoon and, rather than choosing a new frame thereby requiring new lenses to be made, worked out a compromise.  The “temple clips”, as the arms are called, would be replaced with a pair from the same model but in a different colour, thereby avoiding a three-week wait while new lenses were made to fit whatever new frame I chose.  And the good thing is the new temple clips suit the main frame even better than the old ones. That’s what I call a “win win”.
