Wasp man!

I think we have a wasp nest in our compost bin - lots of wasps coming and going.  Mum was stung the other day when taking a look and squirting some stuff around.

I read that this can happen if it gets too dry and one recommendation was to take the top off and pop a hose in there as that will moisten and heat it up which they don’t like.

Leo decided to be brave and cover himself up and see if he could twist the lid off and we would decide if this was a good plan or not.  The wasps weren’t up for that and one stung him before he got close so that plan is abandoned.  Full marks for his natty beekeeper’s outfit though!

We’ll be getting the professionals on the job and avoiding that corner in the meantime.
