Under Wellington

Back up north today, awful start to the week with Avanti cancelling 3 consecutive trains (2 were removed from the timetable over the weekend - that saves them from paying compensation, the third was cancelled this morning). I diverted and went a different route, which saved me from having to get on a train that was carrying 4 train loads of passengers.

This evening after dinner it had started raining (well, this is Manchester) so a quick dash back to the hotel past the statue of Wellington in Piccadilly Gardens, at the base are these scenes.
