Flowers in the market

We have a lot of plants in the courtyard but not many flowers. The geraniums just have green foliage as do many other of the plants in pots. I blame the heat. I bought some more lettuce plants for my beds and kept them in the shade but they have wilted and I doubt they will survive. I will try again next week if the temperature drops. It was very hot even sitting in the deepest shade at French conversation. I was not unhappy when it was time to return home.
