I decided not to do any more work on this painting as I am not really happy with it and, being a watercolour, if I overwork it, it will get worse. It is supposed to be a view of one of the mountain villages near here. Instead I started another acrylic of our own village seen from the belvedere. In the morning I repaired a banister rail and made an apricot crumble for tonight’s visitors. I did not walk down to the art group in the afternoon as my heel is giving me sharp pains which I think is plantar fasciitis. I am resting it, doing foot and leg exercises and have put an insole in the heels of my shoes in the hope I can continue this week’s planned activities.
