Such a good session in the evening, showcasing a video from Gorongosa National Park in Mozambique. Pictured is one of the Park staff who works on human-elephant conflict, who also was part of the subsequent panel discussion. The Mozambican contingent was strong in the audience and it was a great feeling to celebrate Gorongosa’s successes with a room of conservationists from all over Africa. The Park is well known for having turned its fortunes completely around after being decimated during the Mozambican Civil War.
