A Fine Day!

The #1 reason we came home to Seattle this week was for me to see my friend yesterday…it was good.

the #2 reason was a cardiology appointment today.  It seems my heart isn’t quite ready to quit yet and is now behaving more normally than in the last 20 years…same issues  (AF, very leaky valves of course. but now with NO heart rate meds .   Something to do with aging and it could change of course.  The info that my iwatch tracks is astounding (to me) ….it charts resting heart rate every day so you can see long term trends.  (Beginning of June it was much too low.  now it’s more normal since I got the watch less than 2 years ago,. Put the screen on the extra for you interested techies....my cardio "fellow" loves this....  )  But  “come back in a year” if it stays like this.  (amazing!)         I may have to just live at the island….

The #3 reason was to restock the island.  so a trip to Trader Jos.

The #4 (new) reason was to do some research for a new fridge as the one in the cabin is about to die..the freezer will not freeze at all.   It is almost 30 years old….but heck we were crossing our fingers it would last us out.     
So we went to our favorite appliance store to look …and that was close to the Expedia path on Puget Sound where we like to walk…(this is the beach area) so here is the blip of a huge cruise ship there almost eclipsed by a huge US Navy ship. There were 2 inflatables, with guns,  nearby, guarding it.  It looks like one can take a tour...maybe for Seafair next weekend.   Green stuff is overgrowing on the path in places. 

The last stop of the day was to a boat store where we ended up buying a neat little fridge/freezer that will run on both 12 V and 120.  To tide us over until the boys decide what to do about a new fridge.   That was fun.
