Apparently castles are closed on Wednesdays.

14yo and 17yo couldn’t remember much about their previous visits to Denbigh Castle, so we thought we’d walk up and have a look. Unfortunately the portcullis was down so we just had to to admire from the outside this time. 

A Wall butterfly joined us in our exploration of the walls.

We mooched about town for a bit, noticing for the first time that the war memorial unusually (I think) lists home front deaths from air raids (extra) meaning that there were a couple of female names included.
