2022 Wednesday — Sending Cheers!

I am having a difficult time keeping-up with my journal.

This is the greeting card I placed in the mail this afternoon. My good friend, colleague, and former office partner, Arend, has a birthday this coming Friday. If our mail system works correctly, the card should arrive on Friday. Woohoo! That would be perfect.

Arend is 21 months younger than me and immensely smarter. He earned his BA at the University of Chicago and his Ph.D at the University of California at Berkeley. He has a dry, dry humor, and he’s a wonderful man.

So I am thrilled to wish him a happy birthday.
