Usually when I meet people at Denbies Vineyard for a coffee we are indoors in the big restaurant, but today we were outside in this marquee. Apart from the fact that we had to drink out of cardboard cups, it was very pleasant out there with a cool breeze.
I was meeting Judy P, a friend from my childhood. Our families were very close friends. They used to spend the day with us on Boxing Day every year. Our parents were involved with the Tadworth Players, the local drama group. Her parents were a huge support to us when my father died. Over the years Judy has seen more of my sister than me, but now she has moved back to the area and it was my opportunity to take up the threads again. So many memories!
