But, then again . . . . .

They're Spoiling the View.

Every Friday we do our weekly food shop, but first, we lunch at the local garden emporium. It never was a pretty view from the dining table, but now it looks like - well, a building site and I don't suppose that the new houses will be exactly attractive either. The plans are for 190 properties and when the application came up before the community council there were a few issues raised that the builders promised to look into. It's strange how it seems to have slipped their corporate memories. Meanwhile, they are making the already dangerous main access road considerably worse.
Am I turning into a grumpy old git?

Today was the day we suffered a storm; it started with hail stones the size of small peas, then somebody turned it off, apparently to change a nozzle; when it came back on they were the size of very large peas and made a heck of a noise on the roof; the cafe must have sold a lot of extra coffees.
Me? I just sat and read another magazine.
