Jack And His Shite

I took this image of Jack heron and the white stains of his excrement on  our morning walk. One of the heron nicknames is shitepoke because they defecate when flushed.

I haven't picked up the camera since as I've spent all day cooking. While I was doing so I could hear the young buzzards calling incessantly. Our daughter, SiL, granddaughter and her newly-qualified dentist boyfriend came to eat with us. It was lovely. We went for a nursery walk and Marla the horse came to greet us. My culinary creations went down well in the garden.
