In the Car

On our way to my first public book signing event in almost 30 months.  Fortunately, it was just a short drive across the river valley to the medieval village of Carennac where much of the action of my novel, "The Night Gate", takes place.  We conducted the signing in the shade of a tree in the tiny park beside the house which features in the book.  Masks were worn and food and drink was served.  I signed for nearly two hours, then went for aperos at the home of Danish friends in the village, whose wooden terrace overlooks a quiet backwater of the River Dordogne.  My Extra was taken at the signing.
