Morecambe

Visiting Morecambe for the first time in possibly 50 years to help son R find a particular geocache.  I had commented to R that it seemed a bit of  coincidence that Eric 's surname was Morecambe. Wikipedia informs me that Eric's  real name was John Eric Bartholomew. He chose Morecambe as his stage name as this is indeed where he was born and brought up.  This statue was unveiled by the Queen in 1999 after he died in 1984.
