Marsh harriers

I have noticed that there are often many birds around when I go on the pasture for the morning check, but few if I come back a little later with a camera. Trying to learn from that, I took the camera along when I went there, and here's the result. I think this is the first time when I have captured two marsh harriers.

A birch had fallen on the pasture in the storm yesterday evening. The heifers seem to like it. Not only are the leaves tasty, but the branches are very useful for back scratching, see extra.
