Leading Line

My plan, such as it was, involved using a wispy reed sticking out from some rocks as a pointer to the water lilies. I got down low so the gap between them would narrow and using the long end of my telephoto to compress the scene.

I realised they would probably not all be in focus, so I dutifully focused at three points. However, the water was not still and the lilies moved about. I also failed to get one for the rocks, so in the end I used one frame and the only thing in focus is the reed!

I do like the warmth of late sunshine on the rocks.

Extra: Cast Shadow.
