Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

2022 Saturday — Cayucos Wedding

For the past few days we’ve been watching the old Borradori Garage building be transformed into a wedding venue. It is a building with lots of history in this cowboy surfer town.

At 2:00 today we drove past the building and knew then that the “set-up” people were working hard; so, I predicted a 4:00 or 5:00 p.m. wedding. We came back by at 5:15ish and these are the photos I captured. Not great photos, but they identify for me what happened here today. The bride and groom were in the street behind Borradori’s getting their “after the ceremony” photos, their guests were having hors d'oeuvres, and the view of the pier for all of them was spectacular. Later in the evening we could see the lights of Borradori’s across town from our place and we could see the moon illuminating the ocean as it went down. The night was beautifully clear; void of any clouds or fog.

For our day we headed into San Luis Obispo to get Mitzi’s medicine at Costco. We came back to Morro Bay to walk the pups in the Bayshore Bluffs Park in the back bay, which was minus any people and very quiet. Then we drove to Tidelands Park, which was full of people and dogs, and there I began my walk to Tognazzini’s parking lot where Mr. Fun and the pups were waiting for me at the end of my 22 minute trek. Then we made a quick stop at Spencer’s Market and on to the house where I made taco salad for dinner.

And that was our first Saturday of August.

From California’s Central Coast,
Rosie (& Mr. Fun) aka Carol
and Chloe & Mitzi too!
