Old and new structures

On the left are the old chimneys of the Bedford Brickworks which were established in 1893 and operated until 1970. They remain preserved on the site of what is now Sydney Park.

On the right is a new block of residential units. These abound in the local area and have replaced the many factory units and industries which existed alongside older housing stock when I moved here in the 1980s.

I quite like the units and the way their verticals and horizontals echo the chimneys.
