Local Lily

On the rich volcanic soil of the nearby Alstonville plateau is one of Australia's largest flower farms, Prime Flowers. When we recently visited friends in the area (blipper AussieJasmine) they gave us a wonderful bunch of lilies from the farm, which is my blip photo for today. The flowers are gradually opening and revealing their intense burgundy colours. It will be interesting to watch them unfurl over coming days. Many thanks AJ, they are giving us much pleasure.
