Love from Italy

I am, I confess, a sentimentalist at heart.

This is a detail from a postcard originally sent (I think) by Teresa in Italy to Lucio in Switzerland. Louise, then living in Zurich, repurposed and resent it to me when I was living in Sydney — this was many years ago.

The answer to what you would save if your house was burning used to be the family photo albums (after the kids and the pets, of course). But I think love letters, cards, and diaries would also have been on that list (given enough time).

Today I’m guessing it would be computer hard drives (unless you have everything in the cloud).
