in the community garden

sitting on a sunflower

against a cloudless - blue sky to - begin yet another - week in a string - of weeks which are - flying by this year

but that’s a whole - other story than - this post today - which is of a bird - unidentified although i - believe it might - be an american gold finch - but i am no bird - expert so all - i really know is - that it’s somewhat - yellow, sings very well - and almost constantly - flies very rapidly which has - made it difficult - to get a capture - as it has flitted - from tree to tree - or sunflower to sunflower - in the garden - and there are - probably 20+ of them - which visit on a - daily basis and sing - their songs all the while

although it’s not - my absolute best pic - considering my current - challenges at least - it’s in focus for - the most part - and i’m thrilled - i finally had success - with a capture - i’ve been aiming - for over these summer - months now and - that is enough - to call it…
