Counterplay

For aspiring but not very experienced folk musicians, Oxford has a monthly 'slow session' which just happens to take place in the pub 30 seconds' walk from where I'm staying. It's been in my diary since April and each month since then other things have ousted it. But this afternoon I went and lurked outside so I could hear whether it might be the right sort of level for my fiddle and me. Very surprisingly, I decided I'd be bored so I slunk away again.
