Gleann Goirneig

Another fine outing with the Tryst Walking Group. Today we headed out to Killiekrankie and made our way along Glen Girnaig.

This was a new walk for us and it was interesting to see how this glen connected with others as we headed up it.

We had planned to join the Shinagag but were politely asked to take another route as the estate were releasing partridges - presumably getting ready for the 12th and the shooting season. Instead we headed further in to the Glen and stopped for lunch on plateau where the path petered out. There were a herd of red deer in the distance who watched us watching them.

It  a good day to be out walking - I had coffee, checked for ticks, showered, checked for ticks again and stretched on our return then sat in the garden and read.

We shall continue with Vikings this evenings - we are now on Season 3 and finding it getting slight silly but its good fun.

I also got my joining instructions for Sabhal Mòr Ostaig next week - in addition to our daily classes there are post-dinner conversation circles and different events on each evening. We are also encouraged to use Gaelic in the college itself - better practice saying I am booked on a course etc.

Tha mi air bhioran a bhith a’ dol gu Sabhal Mòr Ostaig. Bidh e feumail dhomh.
