The only way is up ....

We woke to blue skies and sunshine and decided to head up Craigower.  It is our local small hill and in under an hour we can reach the viewpoints with views all the way over to Glencoe. We were far in alone in starting the week this way - we meet a couple of groups on our way up and meeting even more heading up as we were coming down. The busiest I have ever seen it.

It was our first visit this year - our walking has been sporadic of late with less longer walks undertaken. We decided to (where possible) to aim and so this at the start of the week with at least one other longer walk later in the week and a couple of brisker ones in and around the town.

We enjoyed lunch outside and then I potted up the plants we'd bought at Dobbies last week.  I started my Edinburgh Book  Group book - Lean Fall Stand by Jon McGregor. It opens in the Antarctic - something slightly incongruous about reading it the sunshine.
