Nest is a base

Seeing the empty nest made me very sad as I had become fond of the little family over the months and weeks since April. Fortunately it didn't last long as I noticed that at least the two youngest ones are holding the nest as a base and come here to eat their catch. It appeares that they are able to hunt/fish on their own as I haven't seen their mother to bring anything to the nest. 
Yet it isn't without worry yet. The youngest, the smallest, the shy one came to the nest in the evening and seems to spend the night here - alone. 
They most certainly do not relax by TV or a book or call their friends on the phone. Their life is mere survival.
