Early 'bird

The 22-spot ladybird is 3 - 4mm in length and is most common in the southeast corner of the UK. It is yellow with 20-22 black spots, and brown legs. It lives in low vegetation, particularly hogweed, and feeds upon mildews. I found this one today as I was clearing a border in the garden and photographed it just as it had finished pre-flight checks - half a second later it just vanished.
