By Teddington Weir

Trying to take advantage of the lovely weather I went kayaking with a friend this morning. This photo is taken with Teddington Weir ahead of us..hence the DANGER sign and the footbridge over Teddington Lock can just be seen on the far right.

Again today there were lots of children out sailing and canoeing etc. the sailors in Toppers were having a hard time as there was no wind, even though we were paddling slowly we made much more headway then them!
We also saw some teenagers from the Royal Canoe Club paddling very fast . It looked as though they were in proper training and were doing races.

We saw only two motor boats in over an hour, two holiday barges which had just come through Teddington Lock. But so many moored and completely idle.

Over 30C when I went out later and wilting tomato plants again. However all the trailing geraniums on my balcony seem to be happy.
