Stray poppy

This beautiful poppy caught my eye on our early morning walk. Is it a garden escape that has strayed on to the side of the trail or a strange mutation of the wild ones that grow in the nearby field?

Listening to Liz Truss talking about what she is going to do as Prime Minister I am left wondering whether she is aware that her political party have been in government for the past 12+ years and that she has been in the Cabinet responsible for the policies that they implemented.
