Cotswold scenes

Saturday
Another beautiful day, and Roger and I went off for the day to explore some of the Cotswolds. We started with the quiet village of Blockley, whose church and vicarage were used for the filming of the Father Brown TV series. It’s quite a small, picturesque but relatively un-touristy village. In the church were some pictures of some of the filming. We went for a wander round the village, admiring the beautiful homes  and gardens, then had a coffee in the one tea shop. Then we passed through Bourton on the Hill on the way to Moreton in the Marsh, where we were amazed to find some free parking! After a look around there, we had some lunch before going on to Broadway, which was quite busy.
We made a detour on the return journey to visit a small church down narrow country lanes, known for its medieval Wall paintings - apparently some of the best in the country.
