I got into the herb bed today and made a start on removing dead vegetation and the triple problem of rampant roots of mint, clover and twitch grass. It’s going to take several days’ work.

Happily the weather is looking more clement, and I shall be able to spend the next three days in the garden once morning frosts have lifted.
