Loki, God of Mischief (Tuesday 9th August 2022)

I spent Tuesday afternoon in C's kitchen/diner with a large fan whirring. Loki came in later and flopped out on the floor, probably having been lying in the full sun most of the morning. Later he went out to the garden and I got a few shots of him there, the first in a couple of months. He is 20 months old now.

I had already been out for a walk in the morning, starting at Horton Bridge and walking up the towpath (see Extra) to the first swing bridge, but then returning along a shady footpath that opened into a track than ran around a farm where horses were kept and came out on the road on the far side of Horton village (rather further than I had planned) and got me back to the start an hour or so later. There were plenty of moored narrowboats on the canal and one boat travelled past, but I saw no ducks or water fowl, no doubt because of the heat.
