Blue waters in Grutness Voe

A rich Shetland weather cocktail today - from hail to bright sunshine (all in the time it takes to walk the length of a beach) - and when the skies cleared the waters became dramatically blue.

One of the beaches walked was along the west side of Grutness Voe - the image goes from the old pier and waterside storage sheds original used for the Sumburgh Head lighthouse (at the right hand end) round to the new Grutness Pier for the Fair Isle boat (at the left).
