Anatole's blips

Summer's creeping up to Achnashellach station

Just a platform in the middle of the hills up a dirt track.

The station signpost gives the timetable (4 trains a day to Inverness and 4 to Wick (via Kyle) and it shows the local map (loch, singletrack road, railway, forest) with a heading below that reads as follows:

Useful information
- There is no taxi rank in the vicinity of the station
- There are no bus tops near this station
Station facilities
- There is a parking area at the main road (4 spaces)
- Customer assistance phone in shelter
- Cycle rack

However, it is supposed to be on of the most impressive railway journeys in the country.
