Early Morning...

As per usual at the moment, I went out for a walk early on. No owls out today & I decided not to wait and see. I had a lovely walk around the res & it was v quiet - people and dog-wise. Lots of little bird families to watch & a large goldfinch flock feeding on the thistles (extra). My fav pic is this nuthatch. There's a little family of them in the woods & they were being v noisy indeed. This was taken high up and at full zoom...I like how it has space.

In other news, the heat has wiped me out today...

The other 2 extras and a 'motorbike' riding grasshopper & a fresh painted lady butterfly that was feeding in my garden this afternoon.
