Back home again (FF12_2022)

We drove back home from Kendal today,  just over 6 hours.  So a quick wander about the garden has come to this bloom - I'm not even sure what it is and Gill can't find the label.  Edit:Echinacea or Coneflower - I knew someone would know :-)
(the extra might help a blipper ident it for me?) Our neighbours have been looking after the plants for us,  we were putting the washing up water into the water butts before we left so, aside from the grass, everything looks ok(ish)

The M6 was very slow all the way from Lancaster to the top of the M5 and there was another slow section on the M40 just before home (Warwick/Stratford upon Avon)  A couple of shunts too which had closed lanes and added to the delays,  though fortunately just scrunched plastic* and no sign of anyone hurt.

Our daughter and her family are travelling back tomorrow and have discovered their car air con needs re gassing!

Thanks to everyone for your visits to my journal while we have been away - we are home over the weekend before a short trip to the South Coast so hopefully some time to return the compliments.

Sadly, no more James or Ariadne blips for a while, although plans are afoot for them coming to stay with us before returning to school in September :-)

* there was a Range Rover on a recovery truck, caravan hooked up behind.  Most of the 'bumper' below the grille was pretty much destroyed, so probably the part containing the parking sensors, radar antennas and fog lights ... another RR with the front right headlight area equally mangled and a smaller car Peugeot 310? with a big scrape down both RHS doors ...  I can feel the bill mounting!
