Thirsty Yew

This yew tree has been growing and thriving for about 15 years not far from our house. We pass it multiple times daily on dog walks and even use it as a land mark (as it stands out from the oaks, horse chestnuts, lymes etc).

It's not looking very happy at the moment and has lost nearly all of its usually bushy foliage. I hope it recovers next year.

Doing my blip early today as tonight is quiz night. Once a month I run a quiz using Zoom; it started as a way of keeping in touch with family & friends during the first lockdown, but we carried on as the world started to open again. We'll probably be a bit lighter on the ground this time as people are on their hols... Still it's always good to catch up.
