A rare Saturday treat

Hubby wasn’t sailing today as the Ted Ashby has a mechanical problem so, after making our purchases at the Farmer’s Market, we popped into the café next door and enjoyed a breakfast of scrambled eggs with a side of mushrooms. Delicious.

After returning home and putting away our purchases we had a few household chores to tackle, then hubby got out in the garden and I pottered around inside before popping over to see Mum for half an hour.  By this time it was 4:30pm and we had dinner to prepare for friends arriving at 6:30pm.  Oops!  Fortunately they were slightly late and we were ready and waiting when they arrived. We had a most enjoyable evening and they finally left at 10:45pm.  By the time we’d tidied up, loaded the dishwasher and got ready for bed it was midnight.

Just before our friends arrived I took a quick photo of our re-arranged living room for an emergency blip, and I’m posting somewhat late.

There are 3,650 new community cases today, and the seven-day rolling average is 4,418 compared to 5,608 last Saturday. The number of people in hospital is 546, including 10 in ICU.
