Our place in space

Today, after parkrun, I walked my longest ever route: from the sun to Pluto.

Of course not for realz!

The scale was such that the moon was one pace away from Earth. I tested the distance; the measurer must have had longer legs than me; that’s all I’m saying.

The scale put the sun, which was much bigger than the planets, on Midsummer Common in Cambridge and Pluto, the size of a ball bearing, in Cow Hollow Wood in Waterbeach – so less than six miles for realz.
