Keeping a watch...

hanging out with the mice in the shade this morning, and the robin joined us once more to see what was going on!! Nosey beggar!!

Could be the last scorchio day - for now! - here in Essex and I'll be very glad to see the heat gone as yesterday we got to witness yet another devastating wildfire over on Canvey that destroyed so much in its' path.  We could see it from our house and it was heartbreaking to see the huge plumes of smoke going on for hours - the firefighters are absolute heroes for getting it all under control in that heat.

A quiet day with a bit of early morning gardening and some book reviews to write up so feeling more productive!
