Lathyrus Odoratus

Uncommon Blue

Regular visitors to these pages may recall that some years ago I started a 'fernery' in my garden. A collection of twelve different native British ferns, about forty plants in all. Unfortunately the drought and relentless heatwave has taken its toll. I've spent half the day cutting off the withering and crispy brown fronds in the hope that this will help the crowns to survive. The occasional butterfly came past, Common Blue's are an uncommon visitor to the garden.
