Tightrope Walker

Oh the delights of today, we took a walk before breakfast up to the Agglestone, with its fabulous views over Poole Harbour. These keeled skimmers (I think) were flying round a sparkling but almost dried up puddle of water en route.
In the afternoon we drove out to Tout Quarry and nature reserve, (thanks Kathb) rather overlooked it seemed to us, wonderfully quiet and a treasure trove of sculptures and butterflies with fabulous views over Chesil Beach. We got back late, eating in the garden and as the sun went down, a pair of hummingbird hawk moths appeared - oh joy. Wildlife spotting literally on our door step. All that plus fab weather.!
So there you have it - extras are a mating pair of what could be chalkhill blue, but please let me know if not, and my first photos of the hummingbird hawk moth
