Lamp

I am not sure we were the brightest when we awoke but we made it out the door in time to get to The Lord Nelson in Southwark for 12:20pm where we were meeting Jules.  I was drinking shandy because I needed to hydrate and PY was drinking Diet Coke.  We were there ahead of James’ 50th birthday (albeit, a year late) which was happening at The Bread Street Kitchen on Great Suffolk Street. It’s not the one in the city: one of our party made that mistake! Previously, this was Gordon Ramsey’s Italian but we learned that they had been shooting for high end dining - and a Michelin Star - but really the location was wrong.  So they brought it into the Bread Street chain. It retains some of the industrial, exposed walls and services, that the original Bread Street does and has these amazing lamps. It also does great food and, I thought, the service was exceptional.
