all gone

Suddenly it’s just D and me rattling around in the house. The last guests departed this morning and so did the sunshine.

Chris and Sarah woke to the news that their spa treatments had been cancelled due to sickness at the hotel where they were due to spend their ‘minimoon’. So while I drove all the used crockery and cutlery to Castle Douglas, Chris was in the passenger seat on his phone, trying to arrange an alternative spa break at another hotel. It took a while, as we drove in and out of phone reception, but by the time we were home and Sarah had returned from taking Luke to Lockerbie, it was sorted. They are there now :-)

D and I have just eaten our last meal of wedding dinner leftovers.
