Early swim; pool quiet when I arrived and busy by the time I left at 09.00 or so. Steady rain for most of the morning; a gap when I went out as far as Bruntsfield and happened on the post person on the way back, then more rain. All the plants need it, though the tourists and the performers will be damp.
