Burnt roses

We are still waiting for more than 5 mins of rain. We had been forecast to have rain all afternoon. But apart from a 5 min burst of rain there's nothing else. Its 7.30pm and already dark from the clouds but still no rain!

These are Darcy Bussell roses. The shrub has been over flowering in recent weeks...probably stress from the heat. When the roses bloom they shrivel into papery petals almost immediately. In my blip you can see how dried out and dark they become.
