We weren't expecting that!

This morning when Jack got up Pebbz was nowhere to be see. We waited, we called, but still no Pebbz. We walked around different parts of the garden, asked our neighbours if they had seen her. No! Nowhere to be seen. We went onto the road thinking that maybe she had an accident...no sign of her there.

Eventually after about an hour I went out alone and started climbing into small clumps of shrubs...we have several! I climbed round our greengage tree, past the damson tree and heard a familiar meowing near me. There she was...our Pebbz...something was clearly wrong. Had she been hit by a car, or attacked by a visiting fox? I carried her home and she just howled non stop, she was sick etc. She could walk, but her tail was not held high as usual. She would not eat or drink anything. She kept trying to be sick. And cried and howled.

2 hours later we had made an emergency appointment with the vet. Surprisingly the vet says it looks as though it is a very bad tummy problem. Something she has eaten in the garden. So we are now nursing her with fluids, a little food and lots of sleep. As you can see she doesnt even want to leave her travel carrier.

We go back to the vet in the morning, if she is not much better. But if she is showing signs of improvement then we can cancel! I really hope she is now on the mend.
