The highlight of the day was tonight's MapRun in Chantry Park, Ipswich. An orienteering course using GPS & an app to track & time, so no visible control points on the ground, just a bleep on my sports watch when I'd reached each correct spot. Great fun, warm but not excessively hot.
The main Blip is the mansion, flanked by specimen conifers & with its currently quite dry parterre & lawn in the foreground. The mansion is now a Sue Ryder Centre, specialising in the care of those with neurological conditions. The extra is a screenshot of part of the highly detailed map from the app on my phone. Some people just use their phones; I prefer to print an A4 version to get a better overall picture of where I need to go to!
