Blowing Bubbles

I braved the forecast thunderstorms (just a few drops of rain in the end!) and headed to Hatchlands for afternoon coffee and a stroll. It was lovely walking round the estate meadows and woodlands in the relatively fresher feeling air, though it was still a bit hot at times.

Predictably, the meadows were now just no more than dry straw with little life to be seen by me. I this spot this fly on a yarrow seedhead, gently blowing bubbles to itself (look large!).
