Carol's ramblings

Saying goodbyes

Today we paid our respects and said our goodbyes to a lovely lady. Having worked for the local authority as a social worker for nearly 36 years, she became unwell and after a short illness sadly breathed her last breath.

She was a pleasure to have known and called a friend, a delight to have worked with and a font of social work knowledge. A true advocate for vulnerable people. A colleague said she was the social workers social worker - so true.

Surrounded by family and friends (many colleagues who had left but came back to pay their respects), a fitting celebration of her life.

So Angie (that’s my name, was always her response), farewell …….mate.
